Paul Anderson managed to capture the game-winning goal heading into the break for the 1-0 advantage over the Redhawks to improve to 2-2 overall.

Greg Lazaga commented, "Today was a battle for us to finish on our opportunities at goal. We had a lot of chances in spaces we wanted to exploit."
Hitting a season-record 15 shots in the first 45-minutes of the game, Jessup managed to close the period ahead 1-0 as Anderson found the back of the net for the lone goal of the game, set up by freshman Nicholas O'Connor in the 41st minute.
Getting his first collegiate start in goal was sophomore
Keegan Lewis who held down the posts with four saves and a shutout to kick off his career start.
The second half would mirror the first just shy of the 15 shot mark with 10 in the final half, for a total 10 shots on goal over the extent of the contest. They would record a season-high 25 shots total against the Redhawks and secure the win before heading home.
The Warriors will travel to CSU Stanislaus this Saturday for a game under the lights at 7 pm with another road contest on Wednesday against UC Merced before heading back home to face Pacific Union on the 14th.
"The guys are learning new roles as we continue to grow as a team," Lazaga said. "I am looking forward to seeing all of our pieces gel in all phases of the game as we learn the style that we want to see."
