ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Taking on the second opponent in the same number of days was Jessup women's tennis who welcomed No. 19 Arizona Christian to their home court. The Warriors would win their first singles match as a program, led by
Abriana Rowe.
Jessup doubles were swept by the Firestorm but not without the Warriors battling with the nationally recognized program in game victories on court one;
McKenzie Hawkins and Rowe (8,2),
Stephanie Alsman and
Melisa Hansen (8-0) and
Yvette Perez and
Allie Rocha (8-0).
In the singles matches, Row led the way against ACU's number two winning game one 6-4 and taking game two 6-1. On court one Hawkins won two sets in the first game, as well as Alsman on court three (6-0, 6-2) and Rocha (6-2, 6-0). Perez would battle on court 5 (6-3, 6-0) and Hansen on court four unable to steal a game.
The Warriors will continue match play next week taking on Hope International and San Diego Christian on the road.
