Warriors Fall to Royals on the Road

Alsman led forcing a third game in singles

Box Score FULLERTON, Calif. - Jessup women's tennis continued match play at Hope International this afternoon where the Royals held the 9-0 advantage in the end, but the Warriors were able to earn a couple games in double and singles.

Leading Friday afternoon was McKenzie Hawkins and Abriana Rowe who competed on court one went 8-1 against the Royals number one squad. Double Stephanie Alsman and Melissa Hansen on court two and Yvette Perez and Allie Rocha on court three weren't able to take a game from the home team.

In singles, Alsman led the Warriors on court three winning the first set 6-4, but dropping the second 6-2, forcing the deciding game and falling 10-5. Behind her was Rocha (2-6, 2-6), Hawkins (2-6, 1-6), Perez (2-6, 0-6) and Hansen (0-6, 1-6).

The Warriors will continue on the road tomorrow facing the nationally recognized San Diego Christian Hawks at 12pm.
