Jessup Loses Battle in Final Regular-Season Match

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif.  - In what's been a building year for the women's tennis team, the Warriors (0-12 GSAC) ended their 2019 regular season with a 0-9 road loss at Marymount California Friday afternoon.

The loss was the first in over three weeks that WJU failed to win a single match. However Melissa Hansen put up the toughest fight of the day losing 6-4, 6-2 to MCU's Ysabelle Arambulo. Juliette Caughey also had a solid performance in a losing effort falling 6-0, 7-5 to MCU's Sabrina Subero.

The Warriors also went 0-3 in their doubles matches.

The Warriors will look to rebound in 2020 after their inaugural season when five of the teams seven players return to the court.

First-year coach Matt Holm is also expected to return for his second season at the helm next spring.
