ROCKLIN, Calif. – With two matches remaining on the schedule, the Warriors welcomed The Master's University to Warrior Field on Thursday. A goal in the final seconds of the first half would be the only scoring of the match, as the Warriors fell in this GSAC battle 1-0.

After the match, Head Coach
Greg Lazaga said that the "Goal tally today doesn't indicate it, but we are growing. The boys have continued to work through a lot of trials this year. I am proud of them for that."

The offensive play was very even in the opening half of Thursday's contest, as the Warriors fired off six shots to the Mustangs seven. However, the key difference in the feel of Thursday's opening frame was in the shots on goal column, as Jessup had none and the Mustangs recorded six.

The big blow came with just 15 seconds remaining in the opening half when TMU's Theo Kudlow placed a free kick from 25 yards out past the reach of
Juan Negrete, putting his side on the board.

TMU's late strike proved the be the only scoring in the 90-minute contest.

The Warriors did not go down without a fight in this one, as Jessup put their best two chances on net in the final minute. Off a
Luis Castillo corner kick, both
Isaac Morfin and
Angelo Chavez but shots on goal, with Chavez's narrowly staying out of the goal.

A close chance at a second goal for The Master's quickly followed as the center referee awarded a penalty kick with just 32 seconds left in the match.
Robert Sams, who played the final 45 minutes in goal, laid out to his right to make the save.

Lazaga later spoke on the future of his team, adding, "If this group continues to stick together, things will start turning, goals will start happening, and wins with it."

One final match remains on the schedule for the Warriors, as Jessup will host Westmont College this Saturday for the annual Senior Day game. The kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
