GLENDALE, Ariz. – With just two matches remaining in the regular season, the Warriors traveled south to Arizona. Up first was a Friday afternoon contest against the Ottawa University Spirit. For the second consecutive match, the Warriors were able to take a point but ultimately dropped the match 6-1.

Picking up where she left off last week against Hope International,
Juliette Caughey continued to impress in her transition from the basketball gym to the tennis court, winning her singles match 7-6, 6-3. It was the only point for the Warriors Friday.

For Caughey, the two singles wins are a program record for Jessup Women's Tennis, as she now holds the most individual wins in a single season.

In doubles competition, Caughey teamed up with
McKenzie Hawkins in the first matchup, taking on Giulia Leali and Veronica Gallardo of OUAZ. The Spirit took the match 6-2. In the second doubles contest,
Ryanda Guerrero and
Karen Ramos-Paglino dropped their bout to Maya Salamon and Saskia Wells 6-2.

Hawkins played in the first position in singles competition, falling 6-0, 6-1 to Leali. Guerrero would follow with a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Gallardo. In the third position, Ramos-Paglino fell 6-0, 6-0 to Wells.

One final match remains on the regular-season schedule for the Warriors, as they will remain in Glendale for a bout against Arizona Christian University tomorrow at noon. Following that, Jessup will shift focus to the GSAC Tournament beginning next week.
