ROCKLIN, Calif. – Today's scheduled women's soccer match between Jessup and Mills College has been canceled due to contact tracing with the opposing team. There are currently no COVID-19 related issues affecting the Jessup Women's Soccer program.
 
The match was scheduled to be the official debut of Jessup's brand-new all-weather turf soccer complex. However, with the cancellation, the debut of the field will now occur on October 9 when the Warriors host their GSAC home opener against Menlo College.
 
Jessup entered Friday morning riding the momentum of a six-match win streak, highlighted by a double-overtime victory on Monday against UC Santa Cruz. A win on Friday would have tied the record for the program's longest single-season win streak.
 
The longest win streak in program history was combined over two seasons when Jessup won ten consecutive matches between October 8, 2011 – September 1, 2012.
 
Jessup gets a break in their schedule now as the next scheduled contest is the GSAC opener next week in Arizona. On Thursday, the Warriors will be in Glendale to take on Arizona Christian, followed by a trip to Surprise next Saturday to face Ottawa (AZ).
 
Currently, there are no plans for a rescheduled date with Mills College. However, should that change, updates will be provided on jessupathletics.com and @Jessup_WSOC on Twitter.
