Warriors Pick Up Second Victory in a Friday Split Down South

Warriors took down Hope International to win the second game in program history; Jessup will be home March 4 vs. Saint Mary’s

FULLERTON, Calif. – The road trip rolled on to Fullerton Friday night as the Warriors put themselves to the test against the nation's best. With two games on the schedule, Jessup got to see how they measure up to a championship squad.

The opening game saw Jessup square up with Vanguard, the reigning national champions of STUNT. The Warriors lost the game 16-10, but have to feel good exciting the match as they gave the Lions a real fight.

Jessup took two points in the first quarter, but VU took four and the lead. The second frame saw the Warriors take four points and even the game at 6-6.

The two teams again split points in the third, and with one quarter the go, it was a tie game at 8-8.

Quarter four saw the Lions take five points to Jessup's two, securing a victory for Vanguard. But Jessup proved they can compete with the best the sport has to offer.

Immediately following the loss to VU, Jessup was back at it against the host school, Hope International. The Warriors dominated from the word go, picking up their second victory of the season, this time by the final of 18-5.

Hope jumped out to a 3-2 lead through the first quarter, but the Warriors quickly gained control by securing four points in the second. Another four points in the third has Jessup leading 10-5.

Into quarter four, team routine, the Warriors took all three points in each of the three routines, the first time they have done so in program history.

STUNT will be back home in Warrior Arena on March 4 when they welcome Saint Mary's to Rocklin. Tickets are for sale right now HERE. Limited seats were available for Jessup's previous home contest, so fans are encouraged to buy their tickets ahead of time to secure a spot.
