ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Back in action for the second time in as many days was the Jessup Women's Tennis team, this time taking on the Dominican University of California. The Warriors continue to display an increase of skill and growth as a team, battling in each match with their NCAA counterparts.
 
The day began with doubles play, and in the one-spot for the Warriors was the combo of Aysha Hayes and Nicollet Alexander. The duo won two games in their one-set contest but ultimately lost the match, 6-2.
 
In the second doubles match, the combo of Sydney Page and Danielle Akabane put up an incredible fight, pushing the match to the limit in a 7-5 defeat.
 
Over to singles play, the highlight match of the day came from the three-position and McKenzie Hawkins. Hawkins won the second set, pushing the match to a tiebreaker that she ultimately lost, 11-9.
 
Also competing in singles play for the Warriors was Hayes (2-6, 6-6), Alexander (0-6, 1-6), Page (0-6, 0-6), and Akabane (0-6, 0-6).
 
While the final score of the match may be a 7-0 victory for the visitors, the Warriors continue to impress on the court and show growth year-to-year. Two matches into the season, the improvement by the Warriors is evident by all in attendance.
