IRVINE, Calif. – With just two days left in the GSAC season, the Warriors were on the courts in Irvine Friday to take on Westcliff University. The day did not go the Warriors' way, as two 4-0 defeats have them looking to end the conference season on the right note tomorrow.
Jessup will wrap up the GSAC regular-season on Saturday when they head to Fullerton for a date with Hope International. It will be the final match of the inaugural season for the men's tennis program.
Men's tennis saw
Sam Smith,
Kadyn Silva,
Noah Moeckelmann,
Jordan Lenney, and
Aidan Sauer take the court in singles play. The matches of Sauer, Lenney, and Smith all went unfinished.
Westcliff took the one point for doubles play before the duo of Smith and Silva could finish their match.
Doubles action on the women's side saw
Juliette Caughey team up with
Sydney Page in a 6-1 defeat.
McKenzie Hawkins and
Danielle Akabane lost their match 6-0.
Aysha Hayes and
Nicollet Alexander were tied 3-3 when their match was called.
The singles matches of Hayes, Alexander, and Caughey all went unfinished.
The Jessup women's team have three matches remaining on the schedule. After wrapping up the GSAC season tomorrow, the Warriors will play twice next weekend.
