COSTA MESA, Calif. – The final Southern California road trip of the soccer season wrapped up on Saturday as Jessup battled the Vanguard Lions down in Costa Mesa. After a 4-0 loss, Jessup returns home, where they will look to secure six points in their final two contests.
Jessup falls to 1-4 in conference action with Saturday's result. Overall, on the season, the Warriors sit at 5-9-1.
The Warriors got off eight shots in the loss, compared to 23 from their counterparts. Of those eight attempts, only three registered on frame, as
Alaina Smathers,
Haley Norlie, and
Jenessa Cisneros recorded the attempts on goal.
Goalkeeping duties were split on Saturday, starting with senior
Madeline Jern, who played 60 minutes while recording three saves.
Lilliana Fenn recorded two saves in her half-hour of duty.
The Warriors will be in Atherton on Thursday for their next contest. This will be Jessup's penultimate match of the season, as following the trip to Atherton, Jessup will welcome Hope International to Warrior Field for Senior Day on October 28. Tickets are on sale
