SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – GSAC soccer resumed on Thursday as the Warriors visited the Mustangs of The Master's University in Santa Clarita. Coming off an 0-2 homestand to start the conference schedule, Jessup entered Thursday looking for a win, but in the end, they return home 0-3.
It's a short road trip for the Warriors, as they hit the pitch just once in Southern California this time around. The GSAC landscape has a new look in 2023 with the departures of Westmont and San Diego Christian.
TMU riffled off 25 shots in their 6-0 victory, 16 registering on frame. Goalkeeper
Lilliana Fenn registered ten saves in the match before she was replaced by
Madeline Jern.
The Mustangs struck first seven minutes into the match, coming off the foot of Alexandria Dunn. Four minutes later, it was another TMU goal as Kylie Ibach scored to make it 2-0. TMU would add two more in the span of two minutes early in the second half, pushing their lead to 4-0.
Two additional late goals would give the Mustangs their 6-0 result.
Jessup registered four shots in the loss, one coming on frame via junior
Kaylee Gillespie.
The Warriors will be away from action for a week now as next on the schedule is a home date with Life Pacific on October 12. That match will be the penultimate home match of the season, as Jessup will again hit the road before an October 28 Senior Day battle with Hope International.
Tickets for all remaining home dates are on sale
