TURLOCK, Calif. – The Warriors returned to action on Thursday, taking on another set of Warriors in the likes of Stanislaus State. Entering with a three-match win streak, Jessup finally suffered defeat as Stanislaus took the contest 7-0.
Jessup falls to 4-8 on the season with one match remaining before the 2023 GSAC Tournament in Surprise, Ariz.
Doubles action saw
Stephanie Alsman and
Grace Sepe team up in a 6-3 loss.
Isabelle Rietz and
Aysha Hayes were also in action, falling 6-0 in their doubles contest. Stanislaus State took the point for doubles play.
In singles action,
Jessica Holbea battled her contest to a third set. She won the first set 6-2 before dropping the second 6-4. The final set went in favor of Stanislaus State's Amber Huk, 10-7.
Stanislaus State swept the board in singles action, winning all six of the matches.
The Warriors will be in action next on Friday, April 14, when they take on Menlo College in Atherton. This will be the finale of the regular season, as Jessup will then transition into postseason play with the GSAC Tournament beginning April 25 in Surprise, Ariz.
