ROCKLIN, Calif. - A Thursday night contest against the visiting Sealions of Point Loma Nazarene resulted in a loss for the Warriors. Jessup would compete for three sets but unfortunately fall to Point Loma 3-0.
This loss brings the Warriors to 5-8 overall and 1-5 in conference. They are now 0-4 on home turf.
Jessup recently concluded a set of games against 808 opponents of Chaminade and Hawaii at Hilo, which was played at home last week. The Aloha State teams came out on top, leaving the Warriors to continue to seek their first at-home victory.
Point Loma opened tonight's game with a 25-16 first set to move momentum in their favor. The second set saw the samescore of a 25-16 finish before moving on to set three, with a final score of 25-7.
Madalyn Miller led the Warriors in offense, recording 12 of the 22 total kills on the night.
The Sea Lions are perfect on the season, with a twelve-game win streak. They are 12-0 overall and 6-0 in PacWest conference play.
Jessup will return to Horton Court for a weekend matchup in hopes of securing their first win at home. They will host Concordia University Irvine in a matinee matchup beginning at 1:00 p.m.
