FRESNO, Calif. – The final road trip of the 2024 season kicked off on Wednesday evening as the Warriors took on the Sunbirds of Fresno Pacific. With a 2-0 defeat, Jessup heads into their final road match of the year with their PacWest record now sitting at 1-5-1.
Jessup, in year one competing as a competing member of NCAA Division II, is 3-9-2 overall.
The Warriors totaled four shots in the 90-minute battle compared to six from the Sunbirds. Five of FPU's attempts went on frame, setting up for three saves by Jessup goalkeeper
Celeste Fernandez. The Sunbirds connected for two goals in the second half in the 56th and 73rd minutes.
Kye Johnson recorded the lone shot on frame for the Warriors.
Jessup will now make their way to San Rafael for the final road trip of the season as they will take on Dominican University on Saturday afternoon. Following that match with the Penguins, Jessup will return home for the final three matches of the season.
The season-concluding homestand, will see visits from Academy of Art, Concordia, and Azusa Pacific.
