ROCKLIN, Calif. - The Warriors continued PacWest play on Thursday night on home court against Chaminade University's visitors. The Silverswords beat Jessup in three sets to secure the win despite a competitive second set.
This loss against the no.9 team in the nation of Chaminade brings the Warriors to 5-6 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
The midweek contest started with the visiting Hawaii team's 25-15 win in set one. Set two, however, kept the fans on their feet. It was a hard-fought battle, with a final score of 31-29 in favor of the visitors.
The night came down to the third and final set of the match to keep the Warriors alive. Despite a close comeback for Jessup, Chaminade concluded the third and final set to defeat Jessup 3-0 on the night.
Taylor MacCuish led the kill leaderboard with ten kills on the night. Eliana Sheridan and Madalyn Miller were right behind her, both with a total of eight kills.
The Warriors will be back in action on home court this Saturday against the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
