CHICO, Calif. – The multi-event athletes of the Jessup Track & Field team were in competition this week at the two-day Multi-Event Classic in Chico. With four athletes competing from Jessup, the race is on to see who can punch their ticket to Indiana for nationals this summer.
"It was a great experience for all four of our multi-event athletes as we get our outdoor season underway," said coach
Jeff Magley.
Competing for the Warriors this week at Chico State were
Alexander Travis,
Everett Beader,
Brock Jedlicka, and
Jaylee Hameister.
Beader posted PRs in the shot put and the high jump, as he moves into the top-ten all-time for Jessup Track & Field in both events. Jedlicka also moves into the top ten with his mark in the high jump.
Hameister set a PR with her 104-point performance in the heptathlon, moving her to fourth all-time in program history. Her PR in the hurdles pushed her to eighth in Jessup history, while she also added PRs in the javelin and long jump.
