LINCOLN, Calif. - In a Wednesday evening weekday matchup, the Warriors ended the night in a double victory formation over the University of Saint Katherine. The two wins pushed the Warriors to continue their perfect 10-0 record at home.
A total of 14 runs crossed the board for Jessup as they won game one 6-0 and only saw six innings in game two, winning 8-0.
Katie Blankenheim and
Terra Goetz's pitching saw shutout games, keeping the Firebirds scoreless in two games. Goetz is now 4-0, with Blankenheim set at 5-1.
Coming off of a weekend sweep last weekend, the bats stayed fire-hot to put crooked numbers across the board.
Sarah Giles continued to be a nuisance to her opponents in the box, coming off her third straight GSAC Player of the Week. RBIs came from five different Warriors in game one, and practical baserunning to secure the first win on the night.
Kaylee Winn would tally three RBIs in game two, including the game-winning squeeze to end the night early in the bottom of the sixth.
With a respectable 16-2 pre-season, the Warriors look to prepare for GSAC conference play next weekend as they hit the road to take on Menlo at Wunderlich Field.
