Softball Moves Weekend Series to Folsom

Heavy rain and wind caused the Warriors to shift their games away from Foskett Regional Park; Jessup to take on Corban and Westcliff this weekend

ROCKLIN, Calif. – This weekend's softball games have officially been moved to Folsom Lake College following nearly a week of heavy rain and wind in the Lincoln area. The contests will now be played on an all-turf field, as the weather caused Jessup's home facility to be unplayable.

Game times for this weekend are unchanged, with the exception of one, as Jessup will now take off Super Bowl Sunday and not play their regularly scheduled game against Corban. Corban will now play Westcliff twice on Sunday.

The updated schedule for this weekend's round-robin is:

DATE TEAMS TIME LOCATION FACILITY
Friday Menlo vs. Corban 12:00 PM Folsom, Calif. Falcons Softball Stadium
Friday Jessup vs. Corban 2:00 PM Folsom, Calif. Falcons Softball Stadium
Friday Menlo vs. Westcliff 4:00 PM Folsom, Calif. Falcons Softball Stadium

Saturday Menlo vs. Westcliff 2:00 PM Folsom, Calif. Falcons Softball Stadium
Saturday Jessup vs. Westcliff 4:00 PM Folsom, Calif. Falcons Softball Stadium
Sunday Corban vs. Westcliff 10:00 AM Lincoln, Calif. Foskett Regional Park
Sunday Corban vs. Westcliff 12:00 PM Lincoln, Calif. Foskett Regional Park

Sunday's doubleheader between Westcliff and Corban is still slated to take place at Foskett Regional Park in Lincoln, as no rain is expected over the weekend. Teams will be notified should the field not be ready for games.

Jessup is coming into the weekend riding high after taking two against the No. 2 ranked and defending national champions, Southern Oregon. This weekend will be a short "homestand" for Jessup, as they are off to Georgia next week to compete in the NAIA Leadoff Classic.

This weekend's action will be live-streamed on the GSAC Sports Network. Fans can also come out and watch the games for free at Folsom Lake College.
