LA MIRADA, Calif. – The final game of Jessup's weekend in Southern California took place on Saturday, as Jessup paid their first PacWest visit to Biola. Following an 87-74 loss, Jessup returns home to continue the conference season in a midweek matchup next week.
Saturday's loss drops the Warriors to .500 in conference action, with their record falling to 3-3. The Warriors are also .500 overall with a record of 6-6.
Jessup saw the scoring come from three players in double-figures, led by
Ja'Maris Blackmon, who posted 18 in the loss. Blackmon has surpassed double-digits in eight of his 11 appearances this season. He converted on 5-of-13 from the field, including a 4-for6 showing from three.
Guard
Troy Crighton also finished in double-figures, totaling 13 points on 6-of-9 from the field.
Anthony Enoh contributed a dozen points.
Aydan Janssan led Jessup with ten rebounds, making it four straight and five of his last six games with at least ten rebounds.
Biola only had eight players log game time on Saturday, and half of them finished with double-digits, led by Davian Brown with 23 points in his 37 minutes of action. Facundo Aranda added 19, with Daniel Esparza finishing with 18.
The Eagles finished the contest, shooting 46 percent from the field compared to a 40 percent performance by the Warriors.
The Warriors will be back home on Wednesday, January 8, as they take on the Urban Knights of Academy of Art. It will be a short homestand, as Jessup will then return to the road for three straight in the Bay Area.
