ROCKLIN, Calif. - The Warriors and the Sunbirds took the court at Warrior Arena for a Saturday night conference matchup. The undefeated Sunbirds kept their streak rolling as they swept the Warriors 3-0.
Jessup is now 6-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
The Warriors and Sunbirds recently saw each other in an away contest at the Special Events Center. The Warriors were able to stretch FPU to a five-set match, but the Sunbirds would ultimately prevail. Fresno Pacific is currently undefeated, and with tonight's win, they are 15-0 overall and 3-0 in PacWest conference play.
The first set was a thriller for both squads, with a back-and-forth point count. Fresno Pacific set the tone for the remainder of the match, winning in extra points 28-26 in set one.
The remaining two sets would also go in favor of the visiting Sunbirds as they won 25-20 in both.
Addisen Hamilton continued her offensive power, collecting 19 kills on the night. Hamilton has 166 kills on the season.
Elianna Sheridan tallied eight kills, and
Lainee McCune saw six.
The Warriors will hit the road to face Biola University on October 17th at 5:00 PM.
