ROCKLIN, Calif. – The Jessup University Warriors (8-10, 3-4 Pacific West) showed resilience and power on Tuesday night, taking down the visiting Vanguard University Lions (13-6, 1-5 Pacific West) in a tense four-set conference match (25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 25-11) at Warrior Arena.

Jessup bounced back impressively after dropping the second set, controlling the final two frames with stellar efficiency, especially in the decisive fourth set, where they hit a match-high .333.

The Offensive Power Trio of Addie Hamilton, Kemyah Harris and Eliana Sheridan lead the way for Warriors. The offensive attack was highly distributed, featuring three players who posted double-digit kills and demonstrated the team's balance throughout the contest.

Hamilton and Harris led the team with 13 kills apiece. Hamilton was particularly effective, hitting an impressive .333 with only three errors, while Harris added a solo block and an assist block for 14.5 total points. Eliana Sheridan rounded out the trio with 11 kills, providing crucial depth in the attack.

The balanced offense was orchestrated primarily by setter Kenzie Carpenter, who totaled 31 assists, with Khaycee Jamias-Cadenas adding four assists.Jessup out-blocked Vanguard 9.0 to 5.0, anchored by middle blocker Julia Olson, who tallied a team-high three solo blocks and one assist block, contributing 9.5 points overall. Olson also added five kills and an ace.

Defensively, the back row was anchored by libero Jayden Santos with 12 digs, followed closely by Lauren Toon with 11 digs, and Eliana Sheridan with 10. The collective defensive effort stifled the Lions' attack, forcing them to a negative hitting percentage (-.028) in the final set.

After dropping the tight second set 25-23, Jessup refocused and delivered a strong third set (25-21) before completely overwhelming Vanguard in the fourth set, finishing the match in style with a commanding 25-11 victory.

The Warriors look to carry this momentum into their next conference matchup. Jessup will be back in action this Friday, October 24th, at 3:00 PM as they host Azusa Pacific at Warrior Arena.
