ROCKLIN, Calif. – The future of Jessup University Women's Cross Country is brighter than ever, as freshman Angela Gladysh has been officially named to the PacWest Conference Third Team following a standout 2025 season.
Gladysh's exceptional debut campaign for the Jessup Warriors was highlighted by her leadership and a monumental program record that resets the standard for the team. The All-PacWest recognition comes after a consistent season where Gladysh proved her ability to compete among the top runners in the NCAA Division II conference.
Gladysh's biggest statement came on November 8th at the NCAA West Regional Championships in Monmouth, Oregon. Against a challenging regional field, the freshman runner delivered a truly historic performance by shattering the program record.
Competing in the 6-kilometer event, Gladysh ran a phenomenal race, crossing the finish line in an incredible time of 21:36.93. This time was a massive 43-second personal record (PR), firmly establishing her as the fastest 6K runner in Jessup history. Her time secured her a spot as the 10th fastest freshman in the entire West Regional field.
Head Coach Garrett Seawell praised her breakthrough race, stating, "Amazing day for Angela and Jessup at our first NCAA Regional meet. She ran a smart race by being patient and moving up during the second half of the race. Anytime you can set a 42-second PR it's a good day."
Before setting the program's 6K record, Gladysh was already proving her star potential at the season's home meet. On September 27th, she dominated the Jessup Invitational, taking first place overall in the women's 3-mile run with a commanding time of 18:43.10.
Her dedication, resilience, and record-breaking speed have made Gladysh a cornerstone of the Warriors' cross country program and signal an exciting trajectory for Jessup Athletics as they continue enter the off season and prepare for the 2026 year.
