Final Road Game Sees Jessup Fall in Hilo

Jessup will end the season winless away from Warrior Arena; The Warriors will play four straight at home to wrap up the year

HILO, Hawaii – For the final time this season, the Warriors took the court away from Warrior Arena, as the Vulcans of Hawaii Hilo were next on the schedule. Unable to combat the deficit at the half, Jessup ended their road slate with a 71-61 loss in the Aloha State.

The Warriors leave Hawaii after going 0-3 on the road trip. Now 7-15 overall on the season, the Warriors see their record in games away from Warrior Arena finish at 0-12.

Jessup will play four straight at home to bring the 2024-25 season to an end.

Senior Ja'Maris Blackmon led the Warriors with 14 points on Monday, doing so on 5-of-8 from the field while knocking down both of his attempts from beyond the arc. Anthony Enoh and Cayden McDaniel were next on the stat sheet with 13 points each.

Aydan Janssan led the squad in rebounding with 11.

Hilo was led in scoring by Andre Norris with 17 points in 23 minutes of court time. Nadjrick Peat also finished in double-figures with 12 points.

Jessup entered the locker room at halftime trailing by nine and was never able to overcome the deficit in the second half. The Warriors shot 51 percent from the field as a team, compared to a 46 percent showing from Hilo.

The difference maker was the 25 turnovers committed by the Warriors, leading to 33 points by the Vulcans.

Once back on the mainland, the Warriors will continue with the PacWest's three Hawaiian schools, as each will make their return visit to Warrior Arena. The Sharks of Hawaii Pacific will be the first to visit Rocklin, starting on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Jessup will host Chaminade and Hilo the following week before ending the year with Senior Day against Fresno Pacific on March 1. Tickets for all remaining home dates can be purchased HERE.
