ROCKLIN, Calif. – Tennis season continued on Sunday with a pair of matches on the schedule with the Vulcans of Hawaii Hilo. Both bouts ended with Jessup on the losing end as the Warriors' first Division II season rolls on.
The women's match saw Jessup claim one point in a 4-1 loss.
Nia Macay won her singles match by retirement as the match was called with Macay leading 3-2 in the first set. Hilo won three of the other five matches with
Angel Cody and
Antonella Cardenas' matches going unfinished.
Hilo won two matches in doubles play to take the point.
The men's match also saw Hilo claim two doubles matches to take the point.
Diego Rodriguez and
Clark Chen were leading their match 5-2 when doubles play ended. The matches of
Vadim Francois,
Tanner Sitanggang and Rodriguez went unfinished in singles play.
Men's tennis will continue their season on Thursday when they visit Azusa Pacific. Women's tennis will host Dominican on Saturday.
