ROCKLIN, Calif. – Team five is in the win column once again, thanks to a Saturday shutout of the visiting Sonoma State Seawolves. The win wraps up a 2-0 weekend for Jessup as the focus now shifts to a busy schedule next week in Southern California.
Jessup put up 23 points in the win on Saturday. The Warriors capitalized on every routine, scoring the maximum number of points each time they hit the mat, with the exception of routine seven in the first quarter.
The win against the Seawolves is the second all-time for Jessup, as the two programs first met in March of 2024, a 24-0 Jessup victory.
Three matches were on the card Saturday inside Warrior Arena. The day began with Cal Poly taking down UC Davis. The Aggies then regrouped with a victory against Sonoma State in the second contest of the day. Sonoma State also lost to Cal Poly to open Friday's action.
Jessup will head to Southern California next week as five games await them. The trip begins on Thursday with Jessup taking on Concordia and Vanguard from the Freed Center in Costa Mesa. Jessup will then shift to Riverside for three games on Friday and Saturday.
Friday will see the Warriors take on Kentucky and Arizona State, and then the weekend wraps up with the Warriors testing themselves against Cal Baptist on Saturday.
