MALIBU, Calif. – The Warriors returned to the Firestone Fieldhouse on the beautiful campus of Pepperdine University for the final match of the 2025 regular season. Again, squaring off with the Waves of Pepperdine, Friday's battle concluded the regular season with a 3-0 defeat.
Pepperdine is currently ranked eighth in the latest AVCA NCAA Coaches' Poll. The Warriors have played three matches this season against top 15 opponents.
Jessup, who have concluded their first regular season, enter the postseason with a record of 11-9.
Carter Depue led the Warriors in kills on Friday afternoon with nine. Depue added four digs and a pair of blocks to his totals.
Jan Lopuch and
Owen Henning each contributed six kills to the effort. Henning hit .667 on the match.
Taylor Marks set up the offense with 25 assists.
Logan Marks led defensively with seven digs.
The Waves were led by Ryan Barnett who totaled 14 kills in the win.
Pepperdine claimed the first set of the day with a 25-20 victory and followed it up with a 25-14 win in the second. Set three saw the Waves bring the match to an end with a 25-16 finish.
While the regular season is at its end, the season as a whole is not for the Warriors. Jessup has secured a bid to the NCCAA Tournament as the West Region representative. Postseason play will begin on April 25 from the campus of Judson University in Elgin, IL.
