ROCKLIN, Calif. – Jessup women's basketball guard Andheya Aurelio was honored as the PacWest Player of the Week after delivering a historic, record-breaking shooting performance to close out her collegiate career.
In the last week of the season, the Warriors wrapped up their 2025-26 campaign with a pair of home conference matchups at Warrior Arena. Aurelio was the undeniable focal point of Jessup's offense during the final stretch, cementing her legacy with one of the most prolific scoring outputs in program history.
Earlier in the week, the Warriors faced a tough test against first-place Vanguard University. Despite a hard-fought effort from the roster, Jessup fell to the Lions, 83-64, setting the stage for a highly anticipated and emotional Senior Day finale where the team looked to bounce back and send their veterans out on a high note.
Back in Rocklin for Saturday's season closer against Chaminade University, Aurelio delivered a performance for the ages. The senior caught fire from beyond the arc, pouring in a game-high 34 points on highly efficient 11-of-21 shooting from the floor. Her stroke from deep was historic, as Aurelio drained a staggering 9-of-15 attempts from three-point land, officially breaking the Jessup single-game three-point record.
Beyond her scoring barrage, the guard ensured she impacted every facet of the game in her final 36 minutes of action. Aurelio stuffed the stat sheet by adding four rebounds, four assists, and three steals to her resume. Led by her historic offensive rhythm, the Warriors slammed the door shut in the fourth quarter to comfortably defeat the Silverswords, 70-53.
Head Coach Corey Laster spoke about Aurelio's incredible finale and what she has meant to the program: "Andy has been the heart and soul of our team all year long. She loves the game and has led us all year as our team captain."
He continued, praising her dedication and the storybook ending to her career, "She is an extremely hard worker, and a talented player. What a way to end her career with this honor. On behalf of our team and coaching staff, we couldn't be more happy for her."
Jessup women's basketball has now concluded their 2025-26 campaign and will enter the offseason. Head Coach Laster and the team will now turn their attention to preparing for the 2026-27 season.
