ROCKLIN, Calif. - Jessup University Men's Basketball is proud to announce the promotion of Travis Timmons to Associate Head Coach following five successful seasons with the Warriors program.

Since joining the staff, Timmons has played an integral role in some of the most successful years in program history. In his first season, Jessup recorded the winningest campaign in school history with 30 victories and an appearance in the NAIA Elite Eight. During the NAIA era while Travis was on staff, the Warriors earned two national tournament appearances in three seasons.

Timmons has also been instrumental in guiding the program through its transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II competition. His contributions across all areas of the program helped Jessup secure its first winning season in the NCAA era while improving the team's win total from nine to 15 victories in its first season eligible for NCAA postseason play.

Recognized as a relentless recruiter and detailed coach, Timmons has played a key role in the recruitment and development of several standout student-athletes, including All-League performers Andre Norris and Tom Parsons. His impact on player development has also helped shape All-American and All-League talents such as Myles Corey, Cash Williams, and Ty Artis.

On the court, Timmons has made significant tactical contributions on both the offensive and defensive ends while continuing to serve as a trusted mentor to student-athletes throughout the program. He performs many office duties and has shown that no task is beneath him.

"Travis Timmons is an outstanding basketball coach," said Head Coach Mark Darnall. "He has influenced not only our basketball program but our entire university with his tireless work ethic. Any success we have has Travis' fingerprint all over it. He has been a great mentor to our student-athletes and impacted them in many ways on and off the floor. I'm thankful I get to be in the trenches with him, and he has earned this. His loyalty to me, our program, our students, and Jessup University made this promotion an easy decision."
