ROCKLIN, Calif. — Jessup University Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Taylor Jacky as the next Head Coach of the Warriors women's volleyball program.
A Jessup alumna, former team captain, and one of the most accomplished student-athletes in program history, Jacky returns to her alma mater with a passion for developing championship-caliber teams while investing deeply in the lives of student-athletes. Her hiring marks a homecoming for one of the university's own and ushers in an exciting new chapter for the Warriors.
Jacky brings nearly a decade of coaching experience at the club and high school levels, along with collegiate recruiting support and USA Volleyball High Performance experience. Throughout her coaching career, she has built a reputation for developing skilled athletes, fostering healthy team cultures, and leading with excellence, integrity, and purpose.
Most recently, Jacky has served as the Head Men's and Women's Volleyball Coach at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento. In just one year as the varsity head coach, she led the girls program to the 2025 Sac-Joaquin Section Division III Championship while earning Academic Champion honors. She also guided the boys volleyball team to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division III Runner-Up finish during its inaugural season.
In the club volleyball world, Jacky has consistently developed highly competitive teams. As the Head Coach of the OMNI Volleyball Club 16 Elite team, she led her squad to a third-place finish at the West Coast Qualifier, earning a bid to the USA Volleyball National Championships. The previous season, her 15 Elite team captured the Las Vegas Classic Championship, finished sixth in the NCVA Power League, and placed fifth nationally in the American Division.
Beyond wins and championships, Jacky is widely respected for building environments where athletes thrive both competitively and personally. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes accountability, resilience, leadership, and creating a psychologically safe culture that allows student-athletes to reach their full potential on and off the court.
A lifelong learner, Jacky earned her Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University Irvine after graduating from Jessup in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Biology with a Marine Science concentration and a minor in Theology.
As a student-athlete at Jessup from 2016-2019, Jacky left an indelible mark on the Warriors volleyball program.
A four-year captain, she helped lead the Warriors to the program's first-ever postseason appearance while establishing herself as one of the greatest players in school history. She currently ranks among the program leaders in nearly every statistical category, including third all-time in career kills (764), second in career digs (1,510), second in career aces (123), and second in career sets played (419). Her senior season included 291 kills—second-most in a single season in program history—and she finished her career as a four-time GSAC Scholar-Athlete and recipient of the prestigious Team Choice Award.
Jacky's playing career extended beyond the collegiate level as she competed in the USA Volleyball High Performance Pipeline. She represented the United States on the U19 A1 Women's National Team as a libero in 2017 and attended the USA Women's National Team Open Tryouts in both 2018 and 2019, where she was recognized among the nation's top 16 liberos.
In addition to coaching, Jacky is the founder of Mindset Matters Coaching, a leadership and mental performance program designed to help athletes develop resilience, confidence, and emotional intelligence while navigating the pressures of competitive athletics. Through this work, she has partnered with teams and coaches throughout Northern California to cultivate healthy, high-performing cultures.

For Jacky, accepting the position is far more than a career milestone—it's an opportunity to return home.
"Ten years ago, I walked into Warrior Arena as an excited (and a little afraid) freshman, and now I get to walk into the gym as the coach. It's a pretty surreal and full-circle moment," said Jacky. "Jessup has always had a special place in my heart, so it only makes sense that God has led my path back to this campus. I am excited to come back home, meet the players, and get to work!"
As the Warriors prepare for the upcoming season, Jacky's vision is centered on developing young women who pursue excellence in every area of life.
