Box Score ROCKLIN, Calif - The Jessup women's soccer team was unable to put themselves into the win column on Monday at Warrior Field as UC Merced outshot the Warriors 13 to 1 in a 2-0 win.

The Bobcats scored their first goal early in the 12th minute as senior Jocelin Roa scored from an assist by Alexia Alva. They continued their offensive assault with six shots on goal in the game as Roa and Zamaya Rivera each had two on frame while Jackie Tamayo and Andrea Alvarenga also put shots on target. Their second goal came in the 81st minute as Tamayo scored from outside the box.

UC Merced had eight shots in the second half, many coming in the final 20 minutes as Warriors goalkeeper Avery Suhr totaled three saves while Tyler Boren, who started the match, had one. Jessup's lone shot came from freshman Kaylee Fore who found the target, yet was saved by UC Merced's Alicia Lepe. 

There were three total cautions in the contest, all against the Warriors with Mikayla Olariu being booked in the 53rd minute, and Fore and Giselle Torres also receiving yellow cards in the second half.

Jessup will be back in action at Warrior Field on Saturday as they look for their first win of the season against Dominican University. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
