ROCKLIN, Calif. - Jessup Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Nichole Sarra as the newest Assistant Softball Coach.

Sarra spent six years (2019-2025) as a student-athlete at Sonoma State University, where she completed both her bachelor's and master's degrees while pitching for the Seawolves. During her career, she helped lead the program to its first-ever CCAA Conference Championship title in 2023, and returned to help the team claim a second consecutive title in 2024.

Sarra's individual accolades reflect her impact both on the mound and in the classroom. She earned multiple Pitcher of the Week honors, was named to the All-CCAA First Team in 2023, and received multiple Scholar-Athlete Awards throughout her career. That same year, she made program history by throwing SSU softball's first-ever perfect game, a dominant performance against San Francisco State.

Following her playing career, Sarra transitioned into coaching, serving as a Graduate Assistant Pitching Coach at Sonoma State in 2024 under head coach Jennifer Bridges, where she began developing the next generation of pitching talent.

"Nichole brings a championship pedigree and a proven track record of developing pitchers at a high level," said Head Coach Mark Watson. "Her experience winning back-to-back conference titles, combined with her coaching background, makes her an incredible addition to our staff. We're excited for our student-athletes to learn from someone who has been in the circle at the highest level and knows what it takes to win."

Jessup Athletics welcomes Coach Sarra and looks forward to the leadership, championship experience, and pitching expertise she brings to the softball program.
