Bill Holtz Warrior Classic
The 18th annual Bill Holtz Warrior Classic tips off from Warrior Arena on Friday, November 8, 2024, as this year's installment will be split into two weekends of action. The Bill Holtz Warrior Classic honors the memory of Bill Holtz, the university's first shot clock operator for Jessup's home basketball games. Holtz passed away in 2011 after a two-and-a-half-year battle with ALS. Each year, the tournament aims to raise awareness towards those fighting ALS, while bringing to Rocklin a weekend of action packed basketball with some of the best teams across the NAIA and NCAA Division II.
Bill's memory is carried on at Jessup by his son, Chris, who now serves as the statistician at all home Jessup events. The Holtz family have partnered with the ALS Association to help raise funds for those battling ALS. If you would like to make a donation in honor of the Holtz family, you may do so
