Warriors Push Win-Streak to Four with Road Win at Shepherd

Four Players Finish in Double Figures, Jessup Set to take on NCAA Opponent UC Davis This Weekend

Box Score EAGLE ROCK, Calif. – Two days removed from one of the biggest victories in program history, knocking off the No. 1 ranked Biola University Eagles on Saturday, the Warriors returned to the court Monday to take on a new foe. In front of them was the Shepherd University Thundering Herd, and it was Jessup who topped their first-time opponents by the final of 72-50.

Jessup had four players finish in double figures in the scoring column. Senior Chris Murry (Fremont, CA) added 10 points while shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from the line. Seniors Carlos Jimenez (Cancun, Mexico), Micheal Patterson (Amarillo, TX), and Tahron Morrison (Fairfield, CA) each added 10 points off the bench.
The Warriors put together a shooting performance of 36.7-percent (22-for-60) from the field Monday night, while holding their opponents to a line of just 24.6-percent (14-for-57). Jessup struggled from behind the arch, as they shot just 20-percent (3-of-15) in the win.

Shepherd University's basketball program is in their first year of existence, and in their inaugural season the Thundering Herd have taken on GSAC schools Arizona Christian, Biola, Hope International, and Vanguard.

With the win, Jessup pushes their win streak to four on the young season. Overall, the Warriors hold a record of 10-3. Jessup is 1-0 in conference play, with the conference season set to resume on January 3 at Menlo College.

The Warriors will return to the floor on Saturday, December 17, when they make the short trip to Davis to take on the University of California Davis at 2:00 p.m. The matchup with the Aggies is the third game in a six game road trip for the Warriors. Jessup will return home to Warrior Arena on January 5 to play host to Vanguard University.
