ROCKLIN, Calif. - The William Jessup Basketball program will tip off their 11th Annual Bill Holtz Classic Tournament this Friday through Saturday, November 2-4 welcoming six teams to compete over the two days on Horton Court.

"The Bill Holtz Warrior Classic is our longest running event and it has been so well received by visiting teams and fans that it something we truly look forward to every year," head coach in his fifth year and athletic director Lance Von Vogt said. "I definitely encourage all that haven't been out to this event to make it a point to join us this year as I am quite sure you will have a blast and may find a great spot to have some family sports fun."

This year there will be eight teams competing in Warrior Arena from across the West Coast. Joining the Warrior's men's teams this season is conference foe Menlo College, Bethesda University and Oregon Tech. On the women's side, the Lady Warriors welcome Oregon Tech, Eastern Oregon and Bethesda University.

The competition will tip off each day at 1 pm with games starting every two hours; 3 pm, 5 pm, and 7 pm. The women's team will take on Oregon Tech at 5 pm on Friday and close out the Classic facing Bethesda University at 7 pm on Saturday.
"We have two great opportunities to test ourselves with very challenging opponents this weekend," head coach in his second year, Kurt Westendorp said. "Oregon Tech enters the season receiving votes in the NAIA Division 2 Top 25 poll and Eastern Oregon is ranked #7.  Both games give us a chance for an early season marquee win."

Friday night the Jessup men's basketball team will take on Bethesda University, tip-off slated for 7 pm and they will wrap up the men's side of competition on Saturday facing Oregon Tech at 5 pm.

"The tournament field this year is terrific on both the men's and women's side," Von Vogt said. "On the men's side, we will match up against nationally ranked Oregon Tech program and also play Bethesda from Southern California."
