ROCKLIN, Calif. - The William Jessup baseball team continues its record-breaking season by adding another piece of history in hosting their first-ever NAIA Opening Round this week at McBean Park. The Warriors were placed No. 1 in the five-team bracket of a double-elimination tournament with game one Monday at 3pm, their opponent decided upon the winner of the 9am matchup between Judson University and the University British Columbia.
The remaining two teams to play are the University of Antelope Valley and Middle Georgia State University at 12pm. The tournament will run May 14-17th at McBean Park in Lincoln with games starting at 9am Monday and Tuesday, and 11am on Wednesday, if needed, the final game played at 12pm on Thursday. In partnership with Placer Valley Tourism, Jessup Athletics invites the community to join us in their historical run with support from the City of Lincoln and the Lincoln Potters staff.
The Warriors will look to continue their three-game postseason win streak, while adding to the program-record most wins (38), in route of punching their ticket to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho behind first-year head coach and GSAC Coach of the Year
