ROCKLIN, Calif. – Due to protocols with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this weekend's scheduled contests for Jessup Baseball and Softball have been postponed.
 
With the 2021 season nearing its close, both Jessup programs were scheduled to travel south to Fullerton for GSAC contests against Hope International. Both series featured significant playoff implications as the Royals currently lead in the standings in both baseball and softball.
 
Jessup Baseball is coming off a big weekend at McBean Park, where they split with the No. 6 ranked Vanguard University Lions. The finale of the series was a thriller, as the Warriors battled back from down five runs in the final inning to eventually win in extras. A full recap of the game can be accessed HERE.
 
For the Jessup Softball program, currently receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll, the weekend series in Fullerton comes a week after the Warriors dropped three-of-four to (RV) Vanguard. The Warriors are currently just 1.5 games out of second place in the GSAC West.
 
At this time, no make-up date has been finalized, but representatives from both universities are actively working on scheduling new dates within the coming weeks. As more information becomes final, jessupathletics.com will provide updates.
