Three Top-10 Finishes Highlight the Oregon Tech Spring Invite

Mintmier finishes tied for third after leading through day one; Salomone shoots -2 on the back side to finish in eighth

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The golf season resumed this week as the Warriors traveled north to Klamath Falls or the Oregon Tech Spring Invite. Three top-10 finishes highlight the performance by Jessup in a field of four teams.

Leading in the clubhouse after day one was Jessup's Joseph Mintmier, as his even round score of 72 gave him a one-stroke advantage. Mintmier posted a second-round scorecard of 74 (+2), dropping him to a two-way tie for third at the end of play.

Winning the men's tournament was Zach Malina and Michael Gray of the hosting Oregon Tech. Both shot even par on Saturday to win by one stroke.

In the women's field, Clarissa Zulueta led the Warriors with an eighth-place finish. Zulueta sat in sixth place at the end of day one after posting a round of 80. Round two saw her drop two spots after a round of 87.

Oregon Tech again had a two-way tie for first in the women's field as Quincy Beyrouty and Payton Canon tied at two-over for the tournament. Beyrouty posted the lowest score of the field on Monday with a five-under round of 67.

Also in the field for the Jessup men was Dominic Salamone, who's two-under performance on the back nine Monday secured him an eighth-place finish. Juan Crespo (T11), Drake Kovaly (17), and Jake Thompson (22) rounded out the field.

The Jessup men finished second as a team in the four-team field.

For the Jessup women, Mackinzie Uribe (T13), Macy Anderson (T17), Tiffany Van Vranken (20), and Irene Logan (21) rounded out the pack in the fourth-place finish.

Jessup will return to the course March 28 – 29 at the Sac Diego Christian College Invitational at Singing Hills Golf Resort.
