DAVIS, Calif. – More opportunities to grow continue to present themselves for the Warriors, as they took on UC Davis in an exhibition on Saturday. The Aggies won the match, 7-0, as Jessup continues to prepare for their second GSAC season.
Saturday's outcome does not count towards the Warriors' overall record in 2023.
Doubles play saw the Warriors give the Aggies all they had, as Jessup was even leading in one bout at the time of completion.
Sam Smith and
Mihnea Secara teamed up and led 5-4, but the match did not end as the Aggies had already secured the one point for doubles action.
Isaac Graves and
Jordan Lenney also teamed up, battling to a 6-4 loss in their match.
Singles action saw Smith, Secara,
Roger Wen,
Austrebeto Carlon, and Fabricio di Tolla in action.
The Warriors return to action next week as they embark on a road trip to Oregon. Jessup will square off with Linfield, Portland State, Lewis & Clark, Lewis-Clark State, and George Fox on the road trip.
