SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The season is drawing to a close as Jessup hit the road for the final time in the regular season, beginning with a trip to The Master's on Friday. The match went the way of the host Mustangs as a sweep sends Jessup into the regular season finale tomorrow in San Dimas.
Jessup moves to 11-8 overall with the loss. Now 7-6 in GSAC action, Jessup will battle for the third seed tomorrow in their regular season finale.
Paulina Harris led the offense on Friday with seven kills.
Carolena Bogdanovich and
Madalyn Miller closed the night behind her with five of their own. TMU totaled 31 kills to 29 by the Warriors in Friday's sweep.
The Mustangs made quick work of the match as they held Jessup to under 20 points in all three sets. Jessup's best showing came in a 25-19 loss in the second set, which they followed up with a 25-15 showing in the third.
Tomorrow, the Warriors will visit the site of the 2023 GSAC Tournament, Life Pacific, as the regular season draws to a close. Jessup and LPU enter the match with even records in GSAC action, meaning the winner will earn the third seed in the postseason.
Vanguard has already locked down the first seed. Menlo clinched a first-round bye and the second seed with their victory over Life Pacific on Friday night.
Tomorrow's match in San Dimas is scheduled for 1 p.m.
