Box Score ROCKLIN, Calif. - The Warriors of Jessup University began their regular season against visiting Arizona Christian (RV). Jessup scored a couple of first goals for the first regular season conference game to put them on top. 

The Warriors are now 6-3-2 on the season as they begin the regular season 1-0 in conference play. 

"Great character from our boys today. We've played down on the score twice to ACU and came back twice," said head coach Greg Lazaga. "We had multiple guys go down, and other guys step up. It's such a fun group to be around, and really happy for our group."

The Firestorm found the back of the net first in the first half with a goal by Tiago Soares. The Firestorm wouldn't hold their 1-0 lead for too much longer.

Maximas Ganesh would tie it all up at one just before heading to half-time. The Freshman scored his first goal, and a big one at that, with an assist from Albert Barillas from the corner. Diego Nunez proved himself defensively, as significant defensive shifts also contributed to the rest of the match for the Warriors. 

However, The Firestorm didn't go away silently as Tiago Soares would find himself in the scoring mix again, this time in header fashion. This goal put the score at 2-1 in favor of the visiting ACU. 

With a strong offensive push, Eduardo Guillen scored in an odd reflection of the visiting goalie. This would also be the midfielder's first goal of the season to make the score even 2-2. The Warriors weren't done yet as Paolo Ionescu found the back left corner of the net to put the Warriors on top 3-2. 

Head coach Lazaga continued to add, "Pressure higher up the field provided us with some good opportunities, which he was instrumental in delivering. So we rest and recover and prepare to play again on Saturday against another good opponent. It's an excellent start to GSAC, and I think we will keep growing because of their depth of character."

The Warriors will be back at home on September 30th at 1:00 PM for a weekend matchup with visiting OUAZ.
