VALLEJO, Calif. – A last-minute add to the schedule had the Warriors bound for Vallejo on Friday as Jessup Golf competed in its first tournament of the season. With both the men's and women's sides competing, the Warriors posted respectable numbers all around to start a new season.
Head coach
Isaac Sanchez offered his comments after the round, stating, "It was a good way to get going. We definitely have a lot of room for improvement in several areas, from course management to short game, and putting that can tighten up a lot."
The Warriors came out victorious on both sides, as they posted a team score of 303 on the men's side to pair with 341 by the Jessup men.
Jessup's men's team sent five Warriors to battle for the team score. All five broke 80, with
Oscar Gutierrez posting 74 in his official Jessup debut. Others in the field included
Matthew Shimizu (76),
Juan Crespo (76),
