ROCKLIN, Calif. - Following a Thursday night victory, the Warriors of Jessup University went head to head in a matinee matchup with the Lions of Vanguard University. Jessup suffered their second loss at home in a final score of 76-62 in favor of the Lions.
The Warriors found themselves behind in the first quarter as they fell behind 21-14. Jessup would throw up sixteen points to shift the lead in Jessup's favor heading into halftime. Unfortunately, Vanguard shifted momentum and would regain the lead and secure the win.
Neomi Davidson (16) and Malia Lepolo (10) secured double-digit days for the Warriors.
Jessup currently sits in third place in the GSAC standings with a 20-5 overall record and 7-4 in conference. Vanguard currently holds the top of the GSAC standings with a 9-2 conference record.
The Warriors will return home to Horton Court on February 17th for Senior Day. This will be the last home game of the regular 2024 season. The senior ceremony will begin at 5:15 PM, with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 PM.
