SAN DIMAS, Calif. – The final day of the regular season has come and gone, as the Warriors were in San Dimas on Saturday, taking on Life Pacific. With a dominating performance, Jessup ended the regular season on a winning note as they took down LPU 81-46.
With the victory, the Warriors move into the postseason with a record of 22-6. Jessup ends the conference season with a record of 9-5.
Guard
Andrea Jovicevic came off the bench to score 24 points across her 26 minutes of game time. Jovicevic connected on 8-of-11 from the field and went 4-for-5 from three. The guard also pulled down 13 boards, giving her a double-double.
Makaila Napoleon also had a big day off the bench as she scored 17 points in her 19 minutes of action.
The Warriors shot 45 percent from the field, with most of that coming in the first half as they connected on 15-of-28 before the break. Jessup's best offensive quarter came in the second when they put up 23 points.
At the intermission, Jessup was leading 44-19.
The Warriors pulled down 51 boards in the win, as they dominated the rebound battle with a 51-35 advantage. Jessup also turned 12 offensive rebounds into 13 second-chance points.
Life Pacific was led by two players with 14 points. At 2-12, Saturday ends LPU's season.
Jessup draws the fourth seed in the conference tournament, and with that comes an opening-round matchup with Arizona Christian. Jessup swept ACU, winning both games by an average margin of victory of 12 points.
That opening round contest, coming from the campus of Menlo College, is set for Thursday at 5 p.m.
