Men’s Tennis Defeats OUAZ in Shutout Match

Men’s tennis defeated OUAZ in a 4-0 shutout; Jessup looks to Arizona Christian tomorrow at Wolverine Tennis Court.

ROCKLIN, Calif. - Competitive matches on the day lead to a split with OUAZ. Men's tennis showed out at home with a 4-0 shoutout, and the ladies in a close loss of 4-3.

This win for the men marks the most significant margin of victory the Warriors have had against OUAZ in program history.

The two doubles victories would come from Joan Garros and Austrebeto Carlon as they defeated their opponents 6-2 in doubles play. The other set of vectors included Issac Graves and Henrique Levy, winning 6-1.

Issac Graves, Joan Garros, and Caleb Poling would all see themselves on top during the singles round. The men defeated the visiting Arizona team of OUAZ in a final score of 4-0.

On the women's side, a competitive day would, unfortunately, favor the Spirit. Katelyn Perry and Danielle Akabane defeated their opponents in double-team play. After losing the first three singles matches, Annika Rojas, Danielle Akabane, and Olivia Gutierrez all tallied points in the remainder of the game. Unfortunately, the Warriors would fall in a final of 4-3.

Jessup looks for a Saturday stint tomorrow at Wolverine Tennis Court with the women beginning at 9:30 AM and the men at 11:00 AM.
