Women’s Basketball Reveals Schedule for the 2024-25 Season

Alaska Anchorage and Fairbanks make their first visits to Rocklin; Jessup will visit DI programs Sacramento State and Santa Clara

09/16/24

ROCKLIN, Calif. – The 30-game slate for the 2024-25 women's basketball season has been revealed, as head coach Corey Laster leads his team into year one of the PacWest. With an even split of home and away contests, the Warriors will get their NCAA Division II era underway on November 4.

Laster enters year four with the Warriors and is a year removed from taking the team to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in his tenure. Jessup went 22-8 last year, establishing the program record for most wins in a single season.

Now members of NCAA Division II and the PacWest, the 2024-25 schedule is one filled with new opponents.

Before the Warriors can get to one of those new additions, they will first open in the same place they began last season: The Hornet's Nest. After beating Sacramento State 51-44 in an exhibition, the Warriors will be back in Sacramento on November 4 for another exhibition with the Hornets.

Jessup then comes home for the official start of the season as teams make their way to Warrior Arena for the Bill Holtz Warrior Classic. The two-day classic runs November 8-9 and features Alaska Anchorage, Alaska Fairbanks, and Cal Poly Humboldt. The Warriors will see the two Alaska schools who are making their first-ever trip to Rocklin.

Passes for the Holtz Classic are on sale now. Fans can secure tickets for all four games at a discounted rate HERE.

The Warriors will follow up the Holtz Classic, with four of their next five games being against CCAA opponents. Jessup will host Chico State on November 16, and they will make visits to Sonoma State (Nov. 14), San Francisco State (Nov. 22), and Stanislaus State (Nov. 26). Mixed in is a visit to Division I Santa Clara on November 19.

Simpson (Dec. 5) and Cal Maritime (Dec. 11) will also make visits to Rocklin for the finale of the non-conference schedule.

The PacWest season will tip-off on December 7 when Jessup welcomes an old friend from the GSAC, Westmont, for the conference opener. Dominican and Menlo also make December visits to Warrior Arena, with a trip to Vanguard on December 21 being Jessup's only conference road game before the New Year.

January will see the Warriors play six games on the road as they make visits to Azusa Pacific, Biola, Dominican, Academy of Art, Menlo, and Fresno Pacific. Academy of Art and Azusa Pacific will be the two home contests for Jessup in the first month of 2025.

February will be another big month for road contests, highlighted by Jessup's trip to Hawaii for three PacWest games. Jessup will also play four home games in February, followed by one game in March as the regular season ends March 1 against Fresno Pacific.

With Jessup being a provisional members of NCAA Division II, the Warriors will not be eligible for NCAA and PacWest postseason competitions. They will, however, be eligible for the NCCAA National Tournament, which begins on March 19 from Lookout, MO.
