ROCKLIN, Calif. - An early Saturday morning started with a pop of the starter gun as the Warriors hosted the Jessup Invitational. The men's cross country team finished in first place of the three teams competing.
The three teams alongside Jessup today included Cal Maritime and Dominican (Cal.). The women's cross country team was also scheduled to compete today but was canceled due to lack of teams competing. Â Â
Three different Warriors finished top ten for Jessup with 2 Warriors finishing top five. Zachary Heberlein (28:36.3) and Devon Hammeke (29:40) finished in third and fourth place in the 8k individuals overall.Â
Ethan Loomis (30:09.8) wasn't much further behind his fellow Warriors as he finished sixth overall. Others running today included Antonio Leal (33:07.8) and Oscar Duncan (37:35). Jessup would finish out the meet victorious, finishing first overall.Â
Cross country will next compete on October 11th at Golden Gate Park as they compete in the San Francisco State Invitational.Â
