STOCKTON, Calif. — Jessup University men's and women's Cross Country teams traveled to Stockton on Friday, October 3. The Warriors competed at the Pacific Invitational, which was held at Micke Grove Golf Course.
The Jessup women's squad posted an impressive performance in the 6k race, finishing 4th out of five scoring teams with a total of 108 points.
Leading the charge for the Warriors was freshman Angela Gladysh, who had an outstanding individual finish. Gladysh raced to a 4th place overall finish with a time of 22:19.2, putting her among the leaders in a highly competitive field.
Rounding out the scoring for the Warriors were Juliet David (25:20.7), Mary Stuart (27:06.2), Addisyn Allen (29:55.2) and Kayla Carpenter (31:47.8).
In the men's 8k race, the Warriors finished in 6th place in the team standings with 186 points.
Junior Travis Brown was the top finisher for Jessup, coming across the line with a time of 29:14.8 to place 54th overall.
The remaining scoring runners for Jessup included Zachary Heberlein (29:21.7), Logan Scammell (34:07.3), Antonio Leal (35:06.0) and Oscar Duncan (36:14.6).
The Warriors next competition will be the Bronco Invitational in Sunnyvale, CA on October 18th.
