Offense Shines to Push Warriors to Victory on Home Court

Hamilton collects 21 kills on the night to tie her season high; November 5th will be Senior Day at 7:00 PM at Warrior Arena

ROCKLIN, Calif. - Jessup continued their impressive push on home court to push their home record to 8-1 on the season. The Warriors welcomed 808 foes of Hawaii Pacific University and defeated the Sharks 3-1 on Luau Night, sponsored by Simply Nutrition.

The Warriors downed their PacWest opponent (26-24, 25-12, 20-25, 25-21), to move to 5-4 in conference play.

The two squads went head-to-head in set one. The 26-24 final score was back and forth the entire set, with the score staying within one point for most of it. The Warriors were able to find a win over the Sharks to gain momentum early in the game.

Jessup continued the momentum in set two as they commanded the second set 25-12. The Sharks however, made a comeback in the third set, scratching one win for them on the night. The Warriors would, however, call game in set four as offense and defense rose them to the top in a 25-21 win to seal the deal for the win on the night.

Offense once again proved evident for the Warriors as the trio of Addie Hamilton, Kemyah Harris, and Eliana Sheridan all collected double digits. Hamilton tied her most kills in one match with 21 on the night for the second time this season. Harris found 17 kills on the night, and Sheridan had 13. Jessup outnumbered the Sharks in kills 65-to-45.

Defense also kept the Warriors on top as they outnumbered HPU in digs 62-to-53. Lauren Toon led that leaderboard with 19 total. Kenzie Carpenter was behind her with 13, and Sheridan with 12.

The Warriors will return to Warrior Arena one last time for the regular season on Wednesday, November 5th at 7:00 PM. Join us on Wednesday, as it will be Senior Day for our graduating Warriors.
