SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The 2025 inaugural NCAA Tennis season began today on the SoCal season opener road trip. The men's tennis team took on Point Loma Nazarene in San Diego, where they lost seven matches to zero. The weather, unfortunately, would delay the start of the women's season as their match due to a rain out.
After a rainout to begin their season last week, the Jessup's men's team took the court as the 2025 season was underway. The PacWest debut would unfortunately end in favor of the hosting Point Loma Sea Lions in a final score of 7-0 on the day.
The doubles pairings included
Diego Rodriguez and
David Perez,
Vadim Francois and
Caleb Poling, and
Marc Charlanne and
Tanner Sitanggang (unfinished). All final scores were in favor of PLNU.
The singles play included appearances from all Warriors who competed in the doubles matches. PLNU also claimed victory in all singles matches.
The women's team will have to wait another day to begin their 2025 PacWest season. They will compete on February 8th against Cal State Los Angeles at 2:00 PM. The men's team will continue their Southern California road trip as they take on Whittier College with a 3:00 PM set start time.
